Style Trial

I told you how me and hubby had a photoshoot by NUYOU magazine and I got to try on a new make up and hair style :) The make up artist made my eyebrows thick and I also loved the subtle eyeshadow. Here are a few pics we took after the shoot on our own.

Fashion Shoot - Behind the Scenes

I've always been fascinated about how fashion magazine articles are actually done. So you can imagine how excited I was when I had the chance to peak behind the scenes when me and hubby were interviewed for a spread in NUYOU fashion magazine! The topic for the article was intercultural couples. It was a great experience to be a fashion model for one day :)

I will hint you when the magazine is out, unfortunately it's only in Chinese though. I wore a jump suit from Top Shop and it was so nice and comfy that I went immediately after to buy it for myself :D haha. I also got some great make up tips from the make up artist! Taking the photos was nice since I modelled with my hubby but I must say the make up and hair do etc. was the perfect start for a day ;)

Kick That Flu!

I've been in influenza at home for the week so far and I'm terribly bored. I've had fever, cough and my voice sounds like a crow. To kick this flu I've gathered the most powerful arsenal around me.

Tea
Everyone knows it's good to hydrate (especially in Singapore where it's so hot) and just drinking water gets boring so I try to alternate with other liquids. Herbal teas taste good even cold!

Vitamin C
I take vitamin C as a supplement when in a flu but the best way body can absorb it is in its natural form - eating plenty of fruits helps to kick that flu and hydrate at the same time.

Chicken essence
This is a more "exotic" treatment lol. It's very Singaporean, and this essence is supposed to build the immune system. I take one that has ginseng root in it that's promised to energize ;)

Chocolate
What's the point of being sick if you can't reward yourself with something for staying at home bored and eating all the medicine?? haha

P.S There are only two submissions so far for the Giveaway lucky draw so any new entry's chances of winning are at a high 30%!! ;)

Smile! + Giveaway

Happy people are always beautiful - sparkly eyes and dimples draw attention and happiness is contagious. When surrounded by smiling people, I always feel my worries are diminishing :)

I believe every smile is beautiful, however some might not feel comfortable to show their teeth for various reasons. I usually don't smile showing my teeth in photos - I think I look weird :D

I also loooooooove coffee, red wine, curries and all that color teeth time going by. So when Smile Brilliant (link here) approached me to try on their home teeth whitening product, I was more than happy to give it a try. What I especially liked about this product is that you can decide yourself how long you use it and how much you wish to whiten your teeth. I like things to be natural so I just wanted to "recover" the natural whiteness of my teeth. I used it 20minutes for a couple of days and I'm very happy with the results. My teeth are back to usual and stains have disappeared.

The product is very easy to use and it lasts for many uses as well. I'm glad to tell you that Smile Brilliant is giving one set to one of my readers! All you need to do is (use those social medias that you have access to, if you don't use e.g. Twitter you can leave that step. At least one social media step is needed):

Anniversary 3/3 - Brunch

The following morning we headed for a brunch at Marriott Hotel. The food was excellent :) I could have eaten 5 of those plates of smoked salmon but I settled for three to make room for other stuff ;) I highly recommend the place and would appreciate any tips on other great brunch places in Singapore!

There might be something exciting coming up related to the place where we spent the night but so far I'll keep it to myself ;)

Anniversary 2/3 - Dinner

For dinner we headed to Starz at Sentosa which was a slight disappointment. The food wasn't anything special and not very fresh either. This buffet really loses to all those I've been to so far. Nonetheless the personnel were cooperative about food allergies and afterwards we headed to Sentosa Cove for champagne by the shore. It was as if we were in a different country completely! So silent, low buildings, small restaurants and bistros along the beach. We also checked out W Hotel that has astonishing surroundings, but I would guess the place is more suited for young couples.

Let the pics speak for the night! ;)

Anniversary 1/3 - Morning

Last weekend we celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We headed to Sentosa on a one-night staycation far from all the traffic, and grabbed coffee at Starbucks on the way. The hotel was Amara Sanctuary, the location is very good and it's so far from town that it's silent and you can see the stars clearly at night. We had access to pool straight from our room which was really nice. The only thing was that a peacock kept screaming through the night :D

The theme this year is Paper, since second year is called paper anniversary. Hubby gave me flowers wrapped in paper and a paper book as a pressie haha.

I will post soon about our evenning plans! Sentosa is a great place to head for staycation I really recommend :)
