Ang Moh Chick Fashion

As Ang Moh Chick Diary turns one year, I decided to do a post about the outfits I have published on the blog, just to give new readers a snapshot of my style and photos previously posted. All photos can be found under the tag "outfit of the day".

Pearls

I'm a pearl girl. I mean pearls are timeless, classic and suit any outfit. I wear them long and short, straight and twisted. Pearl necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair bands... you name it! I also love pearls in other things like bubble tea ;) And of course, my go-to product, Guerlain Meteorites that's not only a pale skin saver but also a value buy as it lasts for ages! I can't even remember when I bought mine. It radically spices my make up with healthy glow even after a night with little sleep.

P.S The winner for my giveaway is Kien Mei! Congratulations and I'll contact you once I've got an answer from the company :)

My Daily Favourites

There are a couple of things I'm using frequently that add a bit of extra special to my days. These are a few of my go-to-things when it's weekend or I just want to feel a bit different, you know, the feeling when you're waking up energetic or feeling gloomy and want to cheer up. I love the Chanel shimmering decolte cream that smells divine and I've written a separate post about Moroccan oil here. Dry shampoo saves a bad hair day!

Smile! + Giveaway

Happy people are always beautiful - sparkly eyes and dimples draw attention and happiness is contagious. When surrounded by smiling people, I always feel my worries are diminishing :)

I believe every smile is beautiful, however some might not feel comfortable to show their teeth for various reasons. I usually don't smile showing my teeth in photos - I think I look weird :D

I also loooooooove coffee, red wine, curries and all that color teeth time going by. So when Smile Brilliant (link here) approached me to try on their home teeth whitening product, I was more than happy to give it a try. What I especially liked about this product is that you can decide yourself how long you use it and how much you wish to whiten your teeth. I like things to be natural so I just wanted to "recover" the natural whiteness of my teeth. I used it 20minutes for a couple of days and I'm very happy with the results. My teeth are back to usual and stains have disappeared.

The product is very easy to use and it lasts for many uses as well. I'm glad to tell you that Smile Brilliant is giving one set to one of my readers! All you need to do is (use those social medias that you have access to, if you don't use e.g. Twitter you can leave that step. At least one social media step is needed):

My Favourite Perfumes

I'm at home having a flu and blogging is the best way to spend time, a cup of hot chocolate in my hands :)

Not sure if you agree but I think it's so difficult to find that perfect perfume. Subtle yet strong, feminine but not overly seductive. A perfume that I could wear both at work and at a romantic dinner. And something I wouldn't get bored of smelling every day.

I have two favourites right now. One of them has walked a long path with me, the Italian Laura. This is a smell my mum recognizes me of, something that smells like "me". It's also the smell I wore when I met my husband and that's why it's extra special for me. I was so happy when my sis-in-law went to Italy and brought some for me :) I smell like myself again!

My new favourite is Miss Dior. It's definitely from the more flirty and sexy end but it's not an "aunty smell" or shower-gel-sweet. It's just right and it lasts all day!

I would love to hear if you have a perfume you've been either wearing for years or a new one that you've just found!

Birthday Boy

I know! I just wrote about MY bday but now it was time for hubby. This weekend was all for him and I wanted to do something fun from my childhood - treasury hunting!! haha. Yes, we are nearly 30 BUT it's sometimes good to bring up memories from childhood :)

So I made him search for a hidden "love promise" note somewhere in the house.  I hid it in a bottle and told him that if he will get the note out of the bottle, I will keep the promise ;) I think this was just one example of something very inexpensive (basically free!) that is both fun and meaningful.

The "real" gift was a wallet he has wanted for ages... He was so happy over it that every cent was well spent ;)

The day was naturally started by enjoying good brunch and coffee! Bread, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, ham, feta cheese... Yum!

At night we went to Wine Connection for cheese&wine tasting :) Have I told you how much I LOVE wine and cheese??

Today we ate some rosti&roasted chicken (again!!) and I wanted to buy some frozen yoghurt for my ice cream cravings !

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

Birthday Girl

Life isn't always roses n' Chanel, I'm sure all of you would agree on that. I hope everyone who reads my blog is aware that this blog is a place for beautiful photos, happy thoughts and certain lightness (even if it's sometimes superficial - I believe that things that are visually beautiful are a way of self-expression and creativity and that does not necessarily mean anything expensive). This means my blog is an escape from reality, it's an image, not reality. I hope that my readers will not take my writings too seriously or imagine that my life is all roses n' Chanel or perfect because, and trust me in this, it is not.

However, I hope you enjoyed my photos as much as I enjoyed my birthday. A bit of pampering, a breath of fresh air, in the stressful everyday life. I had a horrendous start of the day, running around in meetings but spending the end of the day with someone special makes it all alright again.
