These Are a Few of My Favourite Things
My favourites lately in photos :) Previous posts can be found at the side bar under tag "these are a few of my favourite things".
1. The beautiful sunrise from our window in Singapore
2. Finding clothes that are hidden in your closet as new pieces! This one I bought from sales in Finland, some designer last piece but I don't know the brand...
3. Drinks in a bar full of "how to" books. What's better than saving the world while tipsy? ;)
4. Let's not forget late night snacks!
5. Our new home has a great pool :)
6. This man
P.S There's still time to participate in the GIVEAWAY here :)

Signs That Show You Are Close To 30
You start to be interested in cooking and, especially, photographing food. And eating it of course ;) Hunting for a new restaurant is one of your favourite things.
You become even more interested in baking and you loooooooove adding photos of cupcakes and macarons to your instagram...
Choosing a cupcake is one of the highlights of your day!
You have learned to enjoy the taste (and effects) of good coffee!
You start thinking of settling down and begin receiving invitations to weddings and baby showers...
Cute or what?! ;)
You especially like the taste (and effects!) of a glass of wine but, unlike in your 20s, you get tired after a couple of glasses and want to go to sleep rather than clubbing.

Weekend Pics
Hopefully you have had a great start for the new year! What we are looking forward is the start of the Chinese New Year (CNY), it's gonna be a horse year :)
I've just started with a new job and I'm very excited but also, as you can imagine, very tired and I have so many new things to learn that unfortunately I haven't had time to update my blog so often. I hope you still keep coming to my blog! Even if I post more rarely, I've got lots of ideas to write about.
Here are pics of what I've been up to when I haven't been blogging ;)
Having drinks, meeting friends... Learning about the Indian culture through our friends... My friend gave me this beautiful chakra :)
Lots of food, food and more food!
Shopping for some new dresses...
Have a great Monday everyone!!

Merry Xmas!!
Just came to quickly wish you all Merry Xmas!! And thank you for coming to read what's on my mind time after time - you being there, from every corner of the world, is the reason I write this blog :)
I will write a whole post about my Christmas celebration, first time outside Finland. However, I can already tell you that it was filled with lots of food, nice well thought pressies and champagne!
Have a fantastic rest of the day!!

Immune Booster Smoothies x 2!
I came up with these recipes from the leftovers of the Chocolate Coconut Cream Cake (recipe here) and some old oranges. Both smoothies include lots of vitamin C to fight flus that are common during this cold season. Like the one we have here in Singapore... REALLY! It actually feels cold on some days when the temperature drops to somewhere close to 24°C ;) Believe it or not, yesterday my husband had to bring me a blanket while we were watching tv! :D
Blueberry Coconut Smoothie
Blueberries, coconut milk or cream (I used cream) and honey. That's all and yet so tasty! :)
Orange Banana Smoothie
1 peeled banana, 1 peeled orange, 1 tablespoon of flax seeds and honey

My Favourite Place in Singapore
Everything in Helsinki, Finland is somehow so... small. And there's nothing wrong with small. The buildings are all quite low even in the city centre. There is no real business centre, even at 8pm you can easily walk on the main shopping street without bumping into other people, and during Christmas you can easily be the only person on it! I like it that way, being able to be deeply in my own thoughts without being stepped over. I do feel Singapore is a bit too congested, however, I love the 'big city' feeling I get here.
The best place to get that feeling and also the place with the best view over Singapore is the Esplanade bridge that crosses from Esplanade to Raffles Place and its sky scrapers. I love the view of Marina Bay Sands, the tall buildings and the Durian-shaped Esplanade building used for theatre and concerts.
As Esplanade is dedicated to arts, there is a small pond with environmental art pieces...
We continued to the Merlion Park with its statue and lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. We were almost caught by a thunder storm but luckily it passed by (I do like thunder storms like my hubby claimed, just not when I'm enjoying a drink outside! ;) Our night ended with a stunning light show coming from the Marina Bay Sands.
As I've written here, almost all of my clothes and especially jewels carry a story. The dress I'm wearing in the photos is from Estonia, Tallinn, where we headed for two days after our ROM in 2012. The earrings are a gift from my grandmother when we had our wedding five months later. They are designed by a famous Finnish designer and are not made anymore - my grandmother bought them decades ago for herself. They carry a valuable meaning to me; everytime I wear them I remember both my beloved mummi (granny in Finnish) and also our wedding day.
What's your favourite place in Singapore - I would love to hear! :)
